Dance Education Organization A student-run organization dedicated to providing the Tampa Bay community with equal access to dance

The Dance Education Organization (DEO) is a student-run organization that is dedicated to the advocacy and continuation of high quality education in the art of dance. The purpose of DEO is to serve future dance educators by providing a foundation through which they will have opportunities to attend and administrate workshops, to participate in community outreach, to be exposed to current research

materials, and to affiliate with the National Dance Education Organization and Florida Dance Education Organization chapter. DEO hopes to offer the community equal access and opportunity to dance education, to provide a link between the USF dancers and the community, and to create a feeling of unity throughout the USF Dance Department as a whole. DEO also strives to serve the community through specific service projects and philanthropies, such as Relay for Life.

Homecoming Week is underway, which means Spirit Week is happening in the dance department! Monochromatic Monday and Cartuesday have been so fun. Here are some pictures! As you can see from the photos, the past few days have been SUPER WACKY. Tomorrow is "Professionals Unite!" day. Because we dress like our profession every day, we figured why not dress like our professors instead? So don your best Andee, Andrew, Bliss, Jeanne, JP, Michael, Osmany, Paula, (or whomever) for a thank-your-teacher Thursday! Also, tomorrow from 3 to 3:30 PM we will be serving CAKE in the FAD lobby to celebrate all of the October birthdays and the near-closing of Spirit Week. First come, first serve!

It's SPIRIT WEEK in the dance department! Today's not just another Manic Monday, it's Monochromatic Monday!
