Carter McKinney is a proud product of the iTECH Academy. ⚙️ From one of the very first cohorts, he is a great example of what it looks like to partner with Isothermal and take career exploration a step further during high school. Listen to his story, he does an excellent job of explaining how taking some technical courses in high school helped influence his education and career choices in STEM. 💻🧰🏢

His story is not over yet. We look forward to following his journey and know he will do great things in the future! 💫

Trying a career-exploring technical course in high school provides a student the opportunity to see what careers are like before having to declare a college major or make a workforce decision. They experience daily job duties, hear from industry personnel, work with equipment used to perform job functions, and learn more about the education needed to be successful in a variety of careers.
