Our Continuing Studies and Graduate Studies in Education Programs are representative of the mind and heart of Whitworth University

PESB staff were joined by Megan Helton, from Whitworth University School of Education, for the discussion on educator pathways with the Paraeducator Board.

Our state is full of great educator preparation programs like this one.

Staff also hope to bring other prep program partners to future Board meetings, to engage with the Board(s) directly.

UPCOMING | Support Marriage & Family Therapy with your One Pine Day donation starting October 19th.

With your support, the Marriage & Family Therapy Program can provide new cameras to better prepare future therapists and improve community mental health. Licensed clinicians supervise graduate students conducting therapy through live recordings to provide feedback. Unfortunately, the current cameras are outdated and malfunctioning, and provide low-quality images and playback sound. Students miss out on valuable learning opportunities intended to meet the demands of rising mental health concerns.

ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT | Rich Caldwell MIT '95 | Associate Technical Fellow, Chief Curriculum Developer for Boeing | Seattle

Check out the current issue of Whitworth Today Magazine. One of our esteemed alum, Rich Caldwell, talks about crossover careers and how he applied the skills from the MIT program to work as a curriculum developer for Boeing. ALUMNI GRADUATE STUDENT SPOTLIGHT | Stephanie Oaks '10 | Master In Teaching (MIT)

It’s remarkable when children who struggled to read in elementary school become avid book lovers – and even more so when they grow up to be critically acclaimed, award-winning authors. But that’s what Stephanie Oakes did.
