The Marketing Department is proud to support ! 🎊

In April, the Missouri State University American Marketing Association had their 13th annual Hope On Wheels Car Show in partnership with . This event raises money for Convoy of Hope, a local humanitarian and disaster relief organization. Each year, the VP of Programming (Jack Branch this year), gathers local businesses to take part in this event and help AMA embody their three pillars: to Lead, to Learn, to Connect. This year, the event raised $1,300 for Convoy of Hope! ❤️‍🩹

The Marketing Department is so proud to support an organization that goes out of their way to support the community! 🙌

The Marketing Department is so proud of Avas Basnet! 🎉

Avas, one of the Graduate Assistants in the Marketing Department, took part in a 3-Minute Thesis competition that took place at the Midwest Association of Graduate Schools (MAGS) annual conference in November 2025. Avas participated alongside 18 other MSU students and presented their research in three minutes to a diverse audience. His presentation was titled, " Bridging Sustainability and Projects: A Practical Framework", introducing a conceptual framework designed to integrate sustainability considerations into project management processes from beginning to end. Additionally, Avas received the People's Choice Award, given by the audience to participants with the most impactful presentation. This is the first time a student from a Project Management Department has received this award!🙌

Avas has expressed his sincere gratitude for the support and guidance of Elizabeth Reger throughout this journey. 🤝

The Marketing Department is honored to have such a talented and impactful student working in our office. We can't wait to see what Avas does next!

🎊Celebrating our Student Employee in the Marketing Department!

During National Student Employment Week, the Missouri State Student Employment Office invited outstanding student employees to attend a banquet in their honor. There, Emma Lappe, a student worker in the Marketing Department, was recognized as one of the finalists for the Student Employee of the Year.

Everyone in the Department could not be prouder to celebrate and recognize one of our own. Congratulations Emma, keep up the good work! 👏

The Marketing Department is so proud of two independent study students in MKT 796! 🙌

Last week, Missouri State University had the 33rd Annual Frank Einhellig Graduate Interdisciplinary Forum. There, students Kamrunnahar Happy and Mo Mosabbir presented their work from their MKT 796 Independent Study: Marketing class within the Marketing Department.

Mo Mosabbir delivered a presentation on "Understanding Generative AI on Academic Integrity, supervised, mentored, and co-authored with Dr. Nebil Buyurgan and Dr. Ismet Anitsal. 📚

Kamrunnahar Happy presented her work on "AI-Driven Customer Co-Creation in Solo Ventures", supervised, mentored, and co-authored by Dr. Meral Anitsal and Dr. Ismet Anitsal. 🤖

These students continuously represent the values that the Marketing Department and Missouri State University hold. Congratulations Happy and Mosabbir!

Mo Mosabbir is a student pursuing his MS in the Missouri State University College of Business taking MKT - 796 Independent Study: Marketing through the MSU Marketing Department. Recently, he delivered a presentation at the Institute for Global Business Research (IGBR) Spring 2026 International Conference in Nashville, Tennessee. The presentation was over collaborative research that was supervised, mentored, and co-authored with Dr. Nebil Buyurgan and Dr. Ismet Anitsal. 👏
