It's been a fun semester for MSU Jazz Studies! Last night, we ended Latino Heritage Month with a concert festuring no fewer than 9 guests performing a wide variety of music. This included Colombian pianist Carolina Calvache, Costa Rican bassist Sebastian Arias, and KC trumpet player Trent Austin. Each shared the stage with MSU Jazz Studies students and faculty and performed terrifically! Also joining us were several members of the Missouri Jazz Orchestra, including JD Pate, Drew Axley, Bob Swanson, Carl Hose, and Mike Stine. What a fun evening - stay tuned for more photos!
