Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Drury University

Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Drury University The medieval world is fascinating for its past history, and the ways in which the medieval permeates the modern. to around 1500-1700 CE.

The Medieval and Renaissance Studies program at Drury University is a multi-disciplinary consortium of students and faculty with interests in the Middle Ages and Renaissance. At Drury University, our 15 hour minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies allows students of any major to study a single period from the vantage point of multiple disciplines. We consider the Middle Ages to be poorly named;

however we concede that it encompasses the time period from approximately 500 C.E. Each discipline arrives at their own set of assumptions about when the Middle Ages ends. But even in the United States, with cities like San Francisco, San Diego, and St. Louis, there is no doubt that reminders of the influence of the past permeate our world. If you have a favorite link about the Middle Ages or want to share a story or idea, post it. We'd love to hear from you.
