New research from Kyung U. Hong at Western New England University highlights an important connection between how we cook meat and long-term health outcomes. His work explores how high-heat cooking methods like grilling can produce compounds that may impact metabolism and increase diabetes risk for some individuals.

This research is part of WNE’s ongoing commitment to advancing public health and understanding how everyday choices influence well-being.
