The Springfield College women's volleyball team won the Joel B. Dearing '79 Volleyball Classic for the second straight year and second in program history after beating Keene State, 3-1, and Skidmore, 3-1, today. Jodi Saelua (Mililani, Hawaii) was named the Most Valuable Player while Zakiya Hiatt (Calgary, AB) and Tori Colosimo (Fairport, N.Y.) were named to the All-Tournament Team.

The Springfield College field hockey team cruised past non-conference opponent Saint Joseph's (Maine), 7-2, on Saturday afternoon.

Springfield's offense continued to stay hot, scoring six or more goals for the second consecutive game. Senior Ava Coppola (Southington, Conn.) had a dominant day, recording three goals to go along with an assist while Sophia Sares (East Longmeadow, Mass.) added two goals and an assist.

Six touchdowns from six different student-athletes led the Springfield College football team to a win over Western New England on Friday night in the 13th annual Pynchon SAW Game, 42-28, on Stagg Field.

The Pride, who won its first SAW Trophy since the 2024 season, starts its season at 1-0 while the Golden Bears begin the slate at 0-1. Springfield now leads 7-6 in all-time meetings of the Pynchon SAW Game.

The Springfield College field hockey team took down non-conference opponent Hartford, 6-0, to open the 2026 season on Wednesday night.

Ava Coppola (Southington, Conn.) and Rachel Simkewicz (Westminster, Mass.) each had two goals for Springfield and Coppola added an assist while Sarah Goldstein (Cheshire, Conn.) notched a goal and an assist.

This past summer, three student-athletes from the Springfield College men's lacrosse team took part in the 2026 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star Game.

Matt Webb (Northport, N.Y.), Brady Soldo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Nick Savastano (South Salem, N.Y.) competed against other New England lacrosse players from across Division I, II and III for a premier lacrosse showcase of the region's top student-athletes.

With preseason camp in full swing on Alden Street, Springfield College football senior defensive lineman Tyler Sordillo (Hull, Mass.) has been named to the 2026 D3football.com Preseason All-America Third Team.

This marks the fourth selection for a Springfield College student-athlete in the past five seasons as Christian Hutra '23 G '24, Lou Cocozza '23 and Craig Connell '25 all earned the national recognition for the Pride.

The Springfield College women's soccer team was recognized for its academic success as a recipient of the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award.

The Pride's grade point average of 3.63 ranked fifth in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this year and was joined on the list by Babson, Coast Guard, MIT, Wellesley, Wheaton and WPI.
