The Springfield College School of Social Work and Behavioral Sciences will prepare you for practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities in a variety of areas such as adult mental health, child welfare/child mental health, school social work, and gerontology and for direct practice, supervision, administration, and public policy-making activities. Our unique integrati

ve program offers flexible scheduling options to complete the Master of Social Work degree in two to three years. Springfield College offers weekday, evening, and weekend classes to fit your schedule.

>Part-time, three year, weekend MSW program in Springfield and Worcester, MA
>Full-time, three semester weekday or four semester weekend advanced standing program for graduates of CSWE accredited Bachelor of Social Work programs
>Full-time, four year, MSW/JD dual degree program in partnership with Western New England University School of Law

Graduate students, consider applying for the BIRCH fellowship for the 2024-2025 school year!
This grant supports "graduate students who identify as belonging to a marginalized group and are enrolled in a behavioral health graduate licensing/certification program in Massachusetts (master's, educational specialist, or doctoral level) in social work, school counseling, mental health counseling, school psychology, counseling psychology, clinical psychology, or other related behavioral health fields."

Participation in this program includes:
"1) monthly 1:1 meetings with a mentor who is currently working as a behavioral health provider
2) quarterly seminars with other fellows and mentors related to collaboratively selected topics
3) a stipend of $8,000-$10,000 for one year to support living expenses."

The Department of Social Work's assistant faculty member, Christine Tronnier, PhD, LICSW, LADC I and Director of Practicum Education, Laura Krishnan-Mackie, MSW, LICSW were invited to present about LGBTQIA+ inclusive and affirming health and mental health care for a class in the Social Work Department at the Hellenic Mediterranean University located in Heraklion, Greece. They were inspired by the conversation that ensued about the opportunities for, and barriers to, LGBTQIA+ inclusion in Greece, and also by the incredible changemakers they met during their presentation!
