Right after I left Missouri State University and came back to Gaza, I started a project called "Grab A Pink Byte" which was a 3-day project sponsored by the U.S. Palestinian Affairs Unit in Jerusalem. It focused on 25 female Tech University students who were trained on communications skills, team-building and problem-solving.
I consider myself so much lucky for joining Missouri State University for one academic year which was the best year in my life. This great, prestigious university has made me love life in every sense of the word. It gave me the opportunity to meet new people and make friends from around the world. Whenever people, here in my city, Gaza, ask me about Missouri State University, I say, “MSU means the colorful diversity. It’s the rainbow of cultures and traditions getting together as one unit. It’s the world itself where you can explore anything you desire.”
What sets MSU apart is the tremendous number of resources that could help students excel and chill, the unique potential and great services the university provides students with, the creative educational system, the professional, helpful professors who are able to provide a fun, productive learning environment, and the distinguished students the university has. I’m so grateful, thrilled and proud to have been a student of MSU which changed my perspective about many things in life.
If I would have another chance to go back to the US, I would absolutely repeat the great moments I spent in Springfield and chant “Go, Bears!” and choose Missouri State University.
