🦅Meet one of Ozarks Tech’s brightest sparks!

As an electrical engineering student, Kaidyn Haun has been fascinated by electricity for as long as he can remember.

“Growing up, I would pretend I had electricity superpowers,” Kaidyn said. “I figured I should choose a career that gets me as close to that as possible.”

At Ozarks Tech, Kaidyn has grown from a quiet student into an engaged leader, serving as Vice President of Fellowship for Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) and Vice President of the Green Council. He credits his friends and instructors with helping him become more comfortable being himself.

“It’s astounding how much I have grown,” he said. “I’ve come to realize that it isn’t so scary to be my outgoing self that was hidden away for so long.”

Now, his hard work recently earned national recognition through PTK as a 2026 Coca-Cola Leaders of Promise Scholar.

When asked what advice he would give to new students, Kaidyn advises, “Get involved as early as possible. Just show up, have fun, and ask questions. Also, go to the picnics, Club Rush and similar events. There are so many ways to be involved.”

🚀After Ozarks Tech, he plans to transfer to Missouri S&T to pursue graduate degrees in computer engineering and physics, with interests in quantum computing, research and eventually becoming a professor.
