🎉👏 Huge congratulations to Maya Cope from Aurora High School, recipient of a $5,000 Midwest Technical Institute High School Scholarship! 👏🎉

Maya was awarded a $5,000 scholarship toward the Medical Assisting Program at Midwest Technical Institute. After successfully completing the program, she hopes to gain hands-on experience in a pediatric endocrinology clinic and continue working toward her long-term goal of becoming a pediatric cardiologist. 🩺✨💙

💭 When asked who has been a big role model and supporter in her life, Maya shared that her mom has been her biggest support system. She described her mom as her “pancreas,” helping her through her Type 1 diabetes and always being there for her throughout her journey. 💙👏✨

👩‍🏫 Maya also spoke about the impact of her former volleyball coach, Ms. Jasmine, who was like a second mother to her. She helped Maya manage her emotions, grow both on and off the court, and always provided support during challenging moments. 🏐💙✨

💇‍♀️✨🎉 Congrats to Daisi Garcia-Cortez from Carthage High School, winner of a $3,000 scholarship to MTI’s Cosmetology Program! 🎉✨💇‍♀️

Daisi has big plans for her future in cosmetology, with dreams of one day working for herself and opening her own salon in Carthage. She wants to do it all, from hair to beauty services, and build a career where she can use her creativity while serving her community. 💅✨

Her mom has been one of her strongest supporters, encouraging her to keep going even when things feel difficult. Through high school, Daisi learned that she is capable of more than she sometimes gives herself credit for, and that pushing herself can lead to confidence and growth. 💙

This scholarship gives Daisi a meaningful start as she works toward gaining the skills, experience, and confidence to build the salon career she’s dreaming about. 🚀

⚡🔧🎉 Congrats to Zain Knox from Parkview High School, winner of a $2,000 scholarship to MTI’s Welding Program! 🎉🔧⚡

Zain is ready to turn welding into a full-time career close to home. His interest in the trade connects closely with the time he has spent working on cars with his dad, who has been a mechanic since he was Zain’s age. That hands-on experience helped him see how welding could become part of his future. 💪🔥

His dad has been a major role model, sharing skills, spending time with him in the garage, and helping him build confidence through work they could do together. During high school, Zain learned that when he is passionate about something, his motivation and work ethic become even stronger. 💙✨

❤️👏 Giving back never goes out of style at MTI in Springfield, MO! 👏❤️

Student Success Specialist, Keshee Jiminez, recently raised money for the American Heart Association through nacho sales for students and “Jeans Thursdays,” where students could donate $1 to wear jeans for the day. 🌮👖❤️

Thanks to the generosity and support of students and staff, Keshee raised a little over $200 for the cause! 🙌✨

On May 14th, Keshee and Campus President, Tori Jones, proudly presented Lisa from the American Heart Association with a check to celebrate the donation and the impact made together. 💙❤️
