Brothers-
It's been a minute since I provided a Chapter update for you but there are some positive notes to share with you.
This semester marked our first rush without a house, netting 17 new members. As many of you know, The Alpha Kappa Lambda National Fraternity sent down a new membership program to replace the traditional pledgeship we're all familiar with and Beta Psi has successfully made the transition.
Including our new members, our active Chapter is approximately 50 members.
We had a successful Homecoming with Alpha Delta Pi and Kappa Sigma, although our alumni presence was less than we've enjoyed in recent years. I'm going to work close with the new president to ensure that a Homecoming '19 event will entice many of you to return to campus.
I personally had an awesome time with a group of Sigmas who have not slowed down a second since our college days.
The Chapter raised over $1,000 with the annual pumpkin carving contest, despite being very limited in resources and support.
Finally, Beta Psi partnered with Sigma Kappa to create a "consent" banner during Missouri State University's Consent Week, the only fraternity to contact a sorority to do so.
As I have mentioned in recent posts, this group of Beta Psis, led by Jake Saylor, are rebuilding our beloved Chapter and doing some great things. Our relationship with Nationals is very positive and we're working together to regain the ground we lost during a difficult Spring semester.
Peppers and I will be working closely with the new President when he begins his term, including some alumni relations events next semester. I'm personally inviting you to come back and be part of something great.
The guys are cooking with gas right now and it's only going to get better.
