EU FILMS PRESENTS MRDR 315 ON DEC 10 SPRINGFIELD, MO- EU Films, a student media group within the Evangel Communication Department, will present their latest feature film, MRDR 315, on Tuesday, Dec 10. The film will show at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. in the Barnett Recital Hall located in the Fine Arts Building. Tickets are free and available to the public at the door. MRDR 315 is a melodramatic murder mystery following the story of film student Mara Chase (played by Sky Wolfe) at Central Springs University. When her brother is accused of murdering a professor, Mara and her friend Alex Forge (played by Colten Wilson) must retrace the victims last day to find who they believe is the real killer and prove her brother’s innocence. MRDR 316 features community actors such as Darin Crace, Wyatt Long, Camden Crace as well as EU faculty members Nancy Pace-Miller and Gene Arnold. The screenplay was written by Natalie Hedgepeth and Jo Squires. Hedgepeth is also the director of photography. Additional production staff include the producer Brenna Crace, assistant director Mackenzie Franks and chief editor Issac Wellborn Approximately twelve other Evangel students were involved in the production of this film as crew and extras. EU Films EU films is a student media organization within the Communication Department at Evangel University. Each semester, the Film Workshop course is offered to students who will produce a 30 to 60 minute feature film. Students at Evangel participate as staff, crew, and writers for the films produced. Films are supervised by Dr. Cameron Pace, executive producer and Communication Department professor. Films produced at Evangel are premiered at the end of the semester, and then made available on the website, www.evangelvalormedia.com/entertainment, for public viewing at a later date. Communication Department Evangel’s Communication Department prepares students to pursue careers within various communication-related fields.
