Learning goes beyond the classroom at LLCC! Students in Crop Science recently headed to the field for a hands-on lab focused on crop scouting. During the experience, they learned how to identify weeds, insects, and plant diseases, gaining valuable skills used by agriculture professionals every day. Experiences like these help prepare our students for successful careers in the ag industry while bringing classroom concepts to life.

The Kreher halls have been a little too quiet lately and we are ready to see them filled with our ag students again!

As we kick off a new school year, we’re excited for the opportunities, experiences, and memories that lie ahead. Whether you’re returning for another year or stepping into our program for the first time, we’re glad you’re here and can’t wait to see you grow as leaders, learners, and young professionals.

We will welcome back our agriculture students on Monday as we kick off a new school year with coffee and bagels and the chance to get a first day of school photo.

Agriculture Day at the Illinois State Fair is a great reminder of just how important agriculture is to our communities and our everyday lives! From the food we eat to the products we use, agriculture impacts us all.

It was a great day to connect with fairgoers, celebrate agriculture, and promote the many opportunities available through Lincoln Land Community College.
