Today we celebrate one of our largest groups of early childhood education student teachers as they prepare to step into classrooms, communities, and the work of shaping young lives. 💛🍎

They leave with more than lesson plans and portfolios. They leave with relationships, stories, and the understanding that teaching is both heart work and intellectual work.

We are so proud of the future they are building for young children and families. And yes… we’re missing a few graduates in this photo, but they are absolutely part of this celebration, too. 🎓

Please help us celebrate the newest graduates of the Missouri State Early Childhood Education program!

Ice painting = learning + fun! 🧊
Ice painting is a great activity for young children because it combines sensory play, creativity, and learning all in one!

Sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of play 💛

Springfield Community Wide Day of Play was all about coming together, moving freely, and celebrating the joy of community. Every moment reminded us how powerful it is to just play.
Here’s to more days that bring us outside, bring us closer, and bring out our inner kid 🌈✨

Sorting activities may seem simple, but they develop many skills for children 👀✨
As children group colors, shapes, and objects, they’re developing critical thinking, early math, language, and attention to detail, all through play!

Hands-on learning like this builds confidence and independence 💛

Spotted in a student teacher’s classroom.💛

Teaching is intellectual work and it lives in moments like this.

A student chooses an MSU lanyard, but what she’s really holding onto is a relationship built on care, attention, and trust.

These are the moments that shape how children see themselves and who they might become.

Go Bears. 🐻

Sink or float? 💧🔍 Little scientists at work!

Today’s Classroom to Kitchen experiment is all about making predictions, testing ideas, and discovering what happens when different objects meet water.
Hands-on play like this builds curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning, one splash at a time! 🌊✨
