This Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 7PM, Join us at the Moxie Cinema for a screening of _Four Daughters_ and a post-screening discussion with Dr. Gilbert, Associate Professor of Literature and Director of the Humanities & Ethics Center at Drury. This is the second film in this springs HEC Film Series at the Moxie. It's gonna be great! https://www.facebook.com/MoxieCinema

Dr. Gilbert's description of _Four Daughters_: “A documentary about Olfa, a matriarch in Tunisia, and her four daughters, the film Four Daughters is an incredible work that gets viewers to think about the intertwining of parenting, politics, and gender against a backdrop of extremism. It is also unique in structure: it is a documentary about the making of a film, a film that is about a true event: the joining of ISIS by Olfa’s two older daughters. Its unique structure allows for forms of poignant reflection among the mother and two younger daughters that might not be possible were it only a documentary or only a film. Four Daughters combines moments of profound beauty, reflection, deep love, and, somewhat surprisingly, doses of real humor in the face of histories of violence both inside and outside of the home.”
