In a fast changing world where people probably will change jobs and careers often during the course of their working lives, a major in Communication provides the basic skills needed for a wide variety of jobs and careers, and most importantly, skills in writing, speaking, and critical thinking. Students majoring in Communication at Western New England University take such courses as public speakin

g, mass communication, nonverbal communication, intercultural communication, and media planning and public relations. In addition, they can concentrate on electronic communication and journalism. The department offers many courses in electronic communication, such as television production, television broadcasting, and web page design. The University recently built a state-of-the-art television studio that will be used for hands-on instruction and broadcasting across campus. Numerous student audio-video projects are produced and showcased throughout the community.
