The Saint Luigi Soccer Club is a St. Charles, MO based soccer club. This is our inaugural year and we will feature teams for girls ages U-8, U-9, and U-10. We will also have a developmental team for first grade boys (U-7)
This is a competitive soccer team, and will be playing against all the big clubs in the SLYSA league. However, we will be focused on creating a positive environment for the play
ers to learn and enjoy soccer. This team is a great place to begin a serious soccer career. If you have a first, second, or third grade girl who may be interested in competitive soccer, but you are not ready to submit your schedule and money to a large club, this may be the right place. This team will focus on developing players and increasing ball skills, so if they choose they will be ready to join a large club later. Or, if the player just wants to play for fun, I am committed to making sure they all get the most of their soccer experience. I firmly believe that even the best players must first develop a love to play the game before anything else. Too often players are shouted down by parents and coaches who take the games too seriously. With a goal of long term development into solid players, and not an emphasis on winning games, the Saint Luigi Soccer Club is an ideal place to learn the finer points of the game and not sacrifice the pleasure of playing. This is a brand new team and a brand new page, but please invite anyone who has an age appropriate player to read it. After crunching some numbers, I feel confident that we can offer players the pride of playing for a competitive club, with out the politics, drama, and price of a big name local club.
$600 should cover the entire year for each player. With some clubs there is a $550 fee just to belong to the club! With Saint Luigi Soccer Club, that same amount covers league play (SLYSA fall and spring leagues, and Gateway Futsal League in the winter), three tournaments (Fall outdoor, Winter Indoor, Spring Outdoor), and all equipment (jersey, shorts, socks, warm up suit, equipment bag). Detailed budgets will follow as we get closer to playing.
