The SLU Department of Psychology DEI Committee invites you to join us for our upcoming Diversity Day Speaker Event on April 9, 2026, from 6:00–7:00 PM in MOR 3400.

This year’s guest speaker, Dr. Janan Wyatt, a clinical psychologist in the Executive Office of the American Psychological Association, will present:

“A Liberation Psychology Approach to Collective Well-Being: Centering Self-Care and Community Connectedness.”

In this insightful discussion, Dr. Wyatt will explore how liberation psychology can help us reimagine well-being—not only at the individual level, but within our communities. By centering self-care, collective care, and meaningful connection, this discussion will highlight ways psychology can contribute to more equitable and supportive environments.

This event offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, and engage in an important conversation.
