Congratulations to Kaylee Wimberley (2nd-year AuD), who was awarded a Sertoma Communicative Disorder Scholarship for 2026-27. These scholarships are awarded to graduate students pursuing degrees in audiology or speech-language pathology to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and fees. Great job!

Wow, the third PACS alumna featured from Children’s Wisconsin! Anne Spence McCaw (AuD, ’20) has been working with pediatric patients and their families at Children's Wisconsin for the last 5 years. She provides both diagnostic audiologic services including sedated and natural sleep Auditory Evoked Potential testing, VRA, CPA, and conventional audiometry, as well as amplification services for children with hearing aids and bone-anchored hearing aids. As the Audiology Oncology Team lead, she works closely with the Oncology department to develop and maintain a comprehensive Ototoxic Monitoring Program. In addition to her work as a clinical audiologist, she also works as a Clinical Research Aide in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, investigating the long-term impacts of cancer therapy and ototoxicity.

“One of my favorite things about being a pediatric audiologist is having the opportunity to support children in their communication skills and overall development through personalized hearing healthcare.”

Welcome Week 2026 concluded with a visit to the world-renowned Saint Louis Zoo in beautiful Forest Park. Students enjoyed a delicious lunch, connected with new friends, and explored one of the city's most beloved attractions. Students also enjoyed a raffle featuring coveted WashU swag and other great prizes. It was a week full of fun and learning and we can’t wait to see all that the new academic year will bring!

Day 1 of Welcome Week was a wonderful start for our incoming Doctor of Audiology (AuD) and Master of Science in Deaf Education (MSDE) students! The day included campus tours, student photos, and opportunities to connect with classmates, faculty, and staff. We ended the day with a meet-and-greet event at The Courses at Forest Park, with a fun game of “Get-To-Know You Bingo!”
