Congratulations to Kaylee Wimberley (2nd-year AuD), who was awarded a Sertoma Communicative Disorder Scholarship for 2026-27. These scholarships are awarded to graduate students pursuing degrees in audiology or speech-language pathology to help offset the cost of tuition, books, and fees. Great job!

Wow, the third PACS alumna featured from Children’s Wisconsin! Anne Spence McCaw (AuD, ’20) has been working with pediatric patients and their families at Children's Wisconsin for the last 5 years. She provides both diagnostic audiologic services including sedated and natural sleep Auditory Evoked Potential testing, VRA, CPA, and conventional audiometry, as well as amplification services for children with hearing aids and bone-anchored hearing aids. As the Audiology Oncology Team lead, she works closely with the Oncology department to develop and maintain a comprehensive Ototoxic Monitoring Program. In addition to her work as a clinical audiologist, she also works as a Clinical Research Aide in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/ Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, investigating the long-term impacts of cancer therapy and ototoxicity.

“One of my favorite things about being a pediatric audiologist is having the opportunity to support children in their communication skills and overall development through personalized hearing healthcare.”

First week of classes is here for our AuD and MSDE students, and the cohort of 2026 hit the ground running. Courses include Anatomy & Physiology, Clinical Audiology, Typical Language Development, to name a few. Follow along all year to see where a degree in audiology, deaf education, and speech and hearing sciences can take you!

Happy First Day of Classes! After an exciting Welcome Week, students officially began fall classes, meeting new faculty and preparing for a year of learning and growth. We can’t wait to see what our students accomplish!

Welcome Week 2026 concluded with a visit to the world-renowned Saint Louis Zoo in beautiful Forest Park. Students enjoyed a delicious lunch, connected with new friends, and explored one of the city's most beloved attractions. Students also enjoyed a raffle featuring coveted WashU swag and other great prizes. It was a week full of fun and learning and we can’t wait to see all that the new academic year will bring!

It’s been a busy but productive week for our new students! During days 2 and 3 of Welcome Week, we’ve had meetings, training sessions, and many opportunities to meet faculty and staff. The best part is seeing new friendships being formed!

Day 1 of Welcome Week was a wonderful start for our incoming Doctor of Audiology (AuD) and Master of Science in Deaf Education (MSDE) students! The day included campus tours, student photos, and opportunities to connect with classmates, faculty, and staff. We ended the day with a meet-and-greet event at The Courses at Forest Park, with a fun game of “Get-To-Know You Bingo!”

Welcome Week 2026 begins tomorrow! Please join us in welcoming 18 incoming Doctor of Audiology (AuD) students and 11 Master of Science in Deaf Education (MSDE) students. The week begins with campus tours and a fun social event at The Courses at Forest Park. Friday Fun Day is still under wraps, so be sure to follow along for details and highlights throughout the week! We can't wait to welcome our newest students to WashU!

Welcome Week 2026 is almost here! In just 5 days, we'll be welcoming our newest AuD and MSDE students to campus. We've even had a special assistant helping us get everything ready for the incoming class! We are excited to start a new academic year and can't wait to see everyone next week!
