Effective July 1, Associate Professor Arny Nadler will return as chair of undergraduate studio art in the Sam Fox School at WashU. He will lead the programβs curriculum development and implementation, operations, exhibitions, and events. He succeeds Meghan Kirkwood, who has been appointed director of the College & Graduate School of Art after serving as chair of undergraduate studio art since 2023.
Nadler is an accomplished artist and previously served as chair of undergraduate studio art from 2013 to 2018. He has also served as the schoolβs area coordinator for sculpture and 3D foundations and worked closely with students on the annual University City Public Art Series, a collaboration between the Sam Fox School and the Municipal Commission on Arts & Letters of University City. He is a recipient of grants and fellowships from the George Sugarman Foundation, the Regional Arts Commission, and the Sam Fox School. Nadler has works in the permanent collection of the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art and is currently included in the 26th San Angelo North American Ceramic Competition at the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts. He has had recent solo exhibitions at the Haggerty Gallery of the University of Dallas; Northern Clay Center in Minneapolis; Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois; and Jacksonville University in Florida.
