Louis by using life coaches to improve the well-being and upward mobility of a generation of Black males, ages 12–29. HomeGrown STL is a university-based community science intermediary that brings together multisector leaders to do long-term strategic planning and capacity building based on local research and local engagement to disrupt fragmented care coordination and to improve the well-being an

d upward mobility of an entire population of black males ages 12-29 years in the Saint Louis region within a generation (by 2039). This project is in partnership with community service providers centered on the understanding that solutions to the problems facing young black boys and men today in the St. Louis region must come from the region itself with good use of data and strategic action. The four priorities of this project include:

1. Census report of programs serving black boys and young men
2. Strategic network that includes programs, agencies, service providers and others interested in building regional capacity to better serve black boys and young men
3. Professional development opportunities for network members
