The SLU LAW Center for International and Comparative Law is proud to have arranged nine international summer internships for our law students this past summer. The select students first participated in the 2025 Summer Law Program in Madrid, and then interned in various international law firms for the remaining weeks of the summer. As always, the feedback from our students and partner law firms after the internships was tremendous. Please see the student blogs for some highlights:

Each year, SLU LAW's Center for International and Comparative Law offers the ABA-approved Summer Law Program in Madrid at the beautiful SLU-Madrid campus. The Summer Law Program builds on the Center's strong comparative and international law focus by offering six credit hours of law courses taught by Spanish legal scholars and SLU LAW professors. The 2025 Summer Law Program in Madrid hosted 18 incredible law students. Please see the following link to hear from our students!

The SLU LAW International Law Student Association will hold its first meeting on September 2, 2025, at 12PM in 1166. Professor Wagner and Prof. Trako from the Center for International and Comparative Law (CICL) will speak on CICL programming and upcoming opportunities.

We are delighted to announce that our first CICL Distinguished International Speaker Session, featuring SLU LAW Visiting International Researcher, Prof. Daniel Hotard, is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, at noon in Scott Hall, Room 1066. Prof. Hotard is a proud SLU LAW CICL alum and a tenured professor of American Studies at the Law Faculty of Université Paris Panthéon-Assas. Prof. Hotard will discuss "Exploring American Whistleblowing Practices from Europe."

This lecture will qualify for 1.0 MO CLE credit. CICL Concentration students may complete one critical summary for this lecture.
