Join the Catholic Apostolate Center in commemorating the of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary | The Church celebrates today the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her Nativity is important because she was prepared from her conception to be the one who would bear the Savior of the world, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Celebrating her birthday reminds us of the profound gift the Father gave us in his Son, Jesus. Her obedience and love for the Father led to our salvation. Happy birthday, Blessed Mother!

“Mary’s is an event that concerns us precisely because every human being is destined to die. But death is not the last word. Death – the mystery of the Virgin’s Assumption assures us – is the passage to life, the encounter with Love. It is the passage to the eternal happiness in store for those who toil for truth and justice and do their utmost to follow Christ.” -

Holy Mary, Mother of God, Assumed into Heaven, pray for us!

Join the Catholic Apostolate Center in commemorating the of St. Mary Magdalene | Mary Magdalene is one of the few women to be honored in the Bible besides the Blessed Mother. There are many legends about the life of Mary Magdalene, one of which equates her to the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet with her tears. Little is known about the life of Mary Magdalene except that she was present during Jesus’ public ministry and at the foot of the cross with the Blessed Mother and John.

Join the Catholic Apostolate Center in commemorating the of Our Lady of Mount Carmel | Our Lady of Mount Carmel is a title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary in her role as patroness of the Carmelite order. Tradition states that a Carmelite friar, St. Simon Stock, received a vision of the Blessed Mother presenting him with the Brown Scapular. Today, the scapular forms a part of the habit of Carmelite friars and sisters. Lay faithful who wear the scapular do so as a sign of devotion to the Blessed Mother and a promise to imitate her example as the perfect follower of Christ.

Louis and Zelie Martin were the first couple to be canonized together. Let us model the holiness of Sts. Louis and Zelie Martin in our own lives, praying that we may live our vocations as devotedly as they did.
