🇭🇹 Haiti: Past, Present, and Futures
🗓 Monday, January 26
⏰ 4:30 p.m. PT
💻 Zoom webinar

Forged by the world’s first successful revolution of enslaved people, Haiti’s history is unlike any other. The aftermath of political instability, debt, and foreign intervention, and its current status as a failed state, make Haiti an important site for understanding the meanings of nation, citizenship, and sovereignty in today’s world.

Join us for a timely conversation with a roundtable of experts in Haitian history, political science, and anthropology as they explore:
• How Haitians have shaped their presents and imagined their futures
• The impact of U.S. immigration and foreign policies
• The role of environmental factors in shaping wealth and vulnerability
