Together, our community raised $1,600 in mutual aid for Cambodians impacted by the ongoing border conflict.

Funds were evenly distributed:

$800 to Transcultural Psychosocial Organization (TPO) Cambodia to support mental health and psychosocial services

$800 to UNICEF’s Cambodia Appeal to support displaced children and families with essential care

Thank you to everyone who donated, shared resources, and stood in solidarity. While this fundraiser has concluded, thousands remain displaced and in need of sustained, on-the-ground support. We encourage continued support for trusted organizations and mutual aid efforts doing this work.

In solidarity,

Since December 7, 2025, escalating violence along the Cambodia–Thailand border has resulted in 50+ deaths and 800,000+ people displaced, driven by unresolved colonial-era border disputes and renewed militarization. This is a humanitarian crisis—one shaped by state violence, historical injustice, and ongoing geopolitical decisions.

As Cambodian Americans, we recognize this moment intimately. Our communities exist in the U.S. because of forced displacement caused by war and empire. We therefore have a responsibility to act: to demand an unconditional ceasefire and demilitarization, to amplify the voices of those most impacted, and to hold governments—including the United States—accountable for their role in fueling violence abroad.

How to support right now:
• Donate to TPO Cambodia or UNICEF, both providing critical mental health support, healthcare, education, water, and humanitarian aid at evacuation sites.
• Contribute to CamSA’s mutual relief fund via Venmo: marissa-mengheang (all funds will be donated to TPO Cambodia and UNICEF).
• Call your State Representative to demand an unconditional ceasefire and no more U.S. weapons to Thailand.
• Continue learning about the legacies of imperialism in Southeast Asia and stand in solidarity with communities resisting state violence worldwide.

Displacement is escalating. Aid is needed now.

100% of donations raised through CamSA will go directly to TPO Cambodia and UNICEF Cambodia, organizations that provide mental health support, education, health care, water, and sanitation to displaced Cambodian families.

Please consider donating. Humanitarian relief should not be delayed while violence continues.

The violence along the Cambodia–Thailand border has forced 700,000+ people from their homes and continues to escalate.

This is not an isolated clash. It is the result of colonial borders, militarization, nationalism, and sustained foreign intervention, with the United States playing a direct role through arms sales, military funding, and diplomatic cover.

Cambodian civilians are paying the price.

As a student organization, we are sharing this breakdown to provide context, name responsibility, and outline concrete ways to support displaced Cambodians right now — including direct humanitarian aid and demands for an unconditional ceasefire and demilitarization.

Solidarity requires clarity.
Ceasefire now. Demilitarization now.

YOUTH GUIDE ON CAMBODIA–THAILAND

On July 24, 2025, armed conflict erupted at the Cambodia–Thailand border over Prasat Preah Vihear, displacing 300,000+ people. This violence is not random—it’s rooted in colonialism, nationalism, and state power struggles that continue to harm innocent civilians.

As Cambodian Americans, our histories are intertwined with this struggle. The same state violence that forced many of our families to flee is now displacing families at the border. These struggles are connected—and so is our responsibility to act.

💥 Learn the history.
💥 Stand against nationalism and anti-Thai/Cambodian hate.
💥 Support displaced families.
💥 Demand peace and demilitarization.

📖 Swipe through our Youth Guide to understand the conflict’s roots, why it matters, and what we can do now.

We stand in solidarity with all people displaced by state violence.

Thank you also to our allies—from Cambodian collegiate orgs to non-Khmer community members—who showed up with open hearts and clear commitments. Your presence meant everything.

We’re confirming the donation recipient now—receipts will be shared for transparency.
