One more celebration announcement following the Texas FFA State Degree Check last week...

Justin Braune, 2025 NHS Graduate, has been named the State Winner for the Vegetable Production Proficiency!!

Proficiency awards recognize FFA members for their success in their Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE). These awards recognize individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation in Immersion type SAE projects.

As a state proficiency winner, Justin will receive a $1,000 scholarship AND his application moves on to the National level for judging! Congratulations Justin!

More exciting news from the Texas FFA State Degree Check this week...
Peyton Sisak has been named a Top 4 State Finalist for the Star Greenhand Agriscience award!
This means she will now move on to the interview process, which will take place at the beginning of the Texas FFA State Convention week in Ft. Worth at the beginning of July. She will also get to walk across the convention stage to be recognized as a Star Award Finalist.
Help us not only congratulate Peyton on making it into the Top 4, but also wish her the best of luck with her interview in July!

Congrats!!

Navarro FFA is adding another Texas FFA Scholar to the books! Congratulations to Avery Sisak who was selected this week at the Texas FFA State Degree Check to receive a $10,000 Richard Wallrath Education Foundation Scholarship!!
The Texas FFA Scholarship process is a highly competitive process that reviews the students FFA participation throughout all four high school years, as well as their GPA, class rank and SAT/ACT test score. After the applications are scored at the Area level the top 25 applications are sent on to the state scoring committee. Out of all the applications sent from the twelve Areas, only 166 applications were selected for a state interview. Earning one of these scholarships is no easy feat and requires dedication starting freshman year! Way to go Avery!
Avery will officially accept her scholarship in July at the Texas FFA State Convention, which we know will be very helpful as she continues her education in the fall at Texas A&M University.
