This weekend, Brantley Crawford (Number I) and Torry Thrasher (Number VIII) had the privilege of representing our chapter at KA’s 81st Convention in Roanoke, Virginia.

Throughout the convention, they participated in leadership sessions, engaged in discussions with members from chapters across the country, and took part in voting on legislation that will shape the future of KA.

Outside the formal events, they connected with brothers from other chapters and visited the historic birthplace of the Order at Washington and Lee University, the Virginia Military Institute, and Mulberry Hill in Lexington, Virginia.

We are proud to have represented here and look forward to building on what’s next for our chapter.

KA brothers are bound by more than shared letters or a four-year experience... we are bound for life. Our Order calls us to be true friends and brothers: to support each other in times of need, to celebrate each other in times of triumph, and to honor our lifelong commitment to one another. “Fratres Usque Ad Aram Fideles,” meaning “Brothers Faithful Unto Death,” is more than a motto; it’s a promise that through every season—on campus, in career, and beyond—we are there for each other.

Brother spotlight:

Brother Hunter Broadway, a Junior in Forestry, has been elected President for both Mississippi State chapters of FireDawgs and The Society of American Foresters. During his time at State, brother Broadway has served as a CFR Ambassador and Deans Council Representative. He is also a member of the Forestry and Natural Resources Honor Society and was named to the 2024 Mississippi State University Deans List. Excelsior!
