Had a great discussion with the Thad Cochran Agricultural Leadership Program class members. These men and women have demonstrated a strong devotion to Mississippi's agriculture industry. As a member of House Ag GOP, I appreciated their visit to our Washington, D.C., office.

Kicked off Seminar 3 today! Follow along as we explore south Mississippi!

Last week TCALP Class III traveled to Jackson for their seminar on public policy.

During this seminar they participated in the Mississippi Farm Bureau County Board Training, attended the Mississippi Farm Bureau and Mississippi State University Joint Legislative Reception, explored the Capitol, sat in on a House Agriculture Committee meeting with Representative Bill Pigott, and met with Senator Chuck Younger.

The class had an opportunity to learn about state and federal affairs from Camille Scales Young, Principal & Director of Cornerstone Government Affairs; Taylor McNair, MS Farm Bureau Public Policy Coordinator; and Mark Leggett, President of the Mississippi Poultry Association.
