Gentle Yoga & Yoga Nidra

Step into a dreamlike evening of deep rest and inner stillness inside the Wagner College Planetarium. Surrounded by a slow-moving panorama of stars, constellations,
and glowing nebulas, this special Gentle Yoga and Yoga Nidra experience invites you to
soften, release, and drift into profound relaxation beneath the cosmos.

Led by Shelby Caffrey, E-RYT 500, Tier 3 Baptiste Yoga Influencer, certified Yin & Restorative instructor, and Yoga Therapist, this class begins with a
gentle yoga practice. You’ll be guided through slow, accessible movements designed to ease stiffness, support joint health, and calm the nervous system, preparing both body and mind for deep rest.

As the practice transitions into Yoga Nidra—often called “yogic sleep”—you’ll be guided into a deeply restorative, meditative state between waking and dreaming. The planetarium’s celestial visuals become a symbolic landscape for letting go, reflecting, and planting intentions.

No prior yoga experience is necessary. This class is open to anyone seeking rest, renewal, and a moment of cosmic perspective. Come exactly as you are, wrap yourself in starlight, and leave feeling grounded, spacious, and deeply restored.

Registration is open for our next Yoga Under the Stars session.
Restorative Yoga & Sound Bath

Join us for a magical evening as we bring the serenity of restorative yoga into the Wagner College Planetarium. This special event blends the grounding stillness of yoga with the wonder of the cosmos, inviting you to align your practice with the timeless theme of hopes, dreams, and “wishing on a star.”

Led by Shelby Caffrey, E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, Tier 3 Baptiste Yoga Influencer, certified Yin & Restorative instructor, and Yoga Therapist, this workshop will guide you through a series of fully supported restorative yoga postures designed to calm the nervous system, release deep-seated tension, and cultivate effortless presence. https://www.instagram.com/caffreyoga/

As you rest in gentle stillness beneath the stars, you’ll be immersed in the soothing frequencies of a live crystal singing bowl sound bath. These harmonic vibrations shift brainwaves into a meditative state, supporting emotional release, energetic balance, and cellular healing—mirroring the vast, expansive energy of the night sky above.

The planetarium’s dome will immerse you in a breathtaking celestial journey, surrounding your practice with stars, constellations, and meteor trails that symbolize renewal, possibility, and the magic of dreams taking flight.
No yoga experience is necessary—this workshop is open to all who wish to pause, reflect, and reconnect. Step into the cosmic embrace of Yoga Under the Stars and leave feeling grounded, spacious, and inspired to carry your wishes forward.
