Georgia Southern University Planetarium

Georgia Southern University Planetarium The Georgia Southern University Planetarium is an immersive astronomy laboratory.

At the Georgia Southern Planetarium, we aim to teach and impart excitement about space and astronomy. We provide shows for pre-k through senior citizens, and even do public evenings with star shows and telescopic observing!

Our next Public Event is next Friday June 12th at 10 am.

We will be showing Accidental Astronauts!

June 12th @ 10 am
Explore the inner workings of Earth’s great life support system: the global climate. With visualizations based on satellite monitoring data and advanced supercomputer simulations, this cutting-edge production follows a trail of energy that flows from the Sun into the interlocking systems that shape our climate: the atmosphere, oceans, and the biosphere.

Brand New Show!

We got some new shows. "Cosmic Questions" comes from our friends at the Milwaukee Public Museum. This show will be available for school group reservations and during our Public Events.

"Everyone has a cosmic question! Explore our answers and how we handled the big mysteries like aliens, black holes, and multiverse!"

Our first Summer show is this Friday! We will be showing Black Holes on May 29th. We will also be including a constellation show to show what is currently in the sky.

May 29th @ 10 am
The immensity and power of black holes inspire wonder and curiosity. The mass of a large star has collapsed and compressed into an area so small that space and time have no meaning within its bounds. Our journey also visits super-massive black holes of unfathomable size at the central point of galaxies.

Tickets are $5
