Ms. Kerrigan Brown, an upcoming CIS graduate for May 2026, successfully defended her Honors Thesis on May 15 in the DSPCOB before her committee.
Her thesis, titled Digital Communication Differences between Gen Z and Millennials in the Workplace, presented emerging research that contributes to new insights to this growing field.
The committee was chaired by Dr. Joanna Shaw, with members Dr. Jamie Collins and Ms. Lisa Mapes. Ms. Brown was also supported by the Dean of the Honors College, Dr. Eileen Faulkenberry, and Associate Dean Dr. Karl Aho.

Yesterday was a special day at the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business as we welcomed Dr. Sam Pack himself! He connected with our Student Advisory Board, celebrated the opening of our NEW student lounge with a ribbon cutting, and joined us in honoring outstanding students during the Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony.

CIS undergraduate Honors student Kerrigan Brown successfully presented her honors thesis proposal today in DSPCOB conference room.
Her thesis is titled: “Digital Communication Differences Between Gen Z and Millennials in the Workplace.”
Her committee—Dr. Joanna Shaw (Chair), Dr. Jamie Collins, Dr. Eileen Faulkenberry, Dr. Karl Aho, and Ms. Lisa Mapes—voted unanimously to approve her proposal. Kerrigan will defend her thesis on April 10 and graduate in May.
The DSPCOB is incredibly proud of her achievements.

Bittersweet day in the College of Business today! This morning we said goodbye to 3 of our students workers and graduate assistants! We’re so thankful for all the work Victor, Tuli, and Hannah have done here and we can’t wait to see what all they do after graduation! We also had our last Student Advisory Board meeting of the semester, where we gave some great awards! George Yefymenko won the “Student Organization Officer Leadership Award” and a $1000 scholarship, and Morgan Hepler won the “Student Organization Member Leadership Award“ and a $500 scholarship! Congrats to those amazing students! Finally, we also want to recognize Amanda Castanon and Ashlin Buchanan, two Student Advisory Board officers who will be graduating next week. We are so proud of our students!
