CSU Northeast Regional Engagement Center

CSU Northeast Regional Engagement Center Connecting the communities we serve to Colorado State University!! CSU retains discretion to allow or disallow comments and/or posts on this page.

The Northeast Regional Engagement Center is a resource for 9 counties in northeastern Colorado; Sedgwick, Yuma, Phillips, Washington, Logan, Morgan, Elbert, Kit Carson and Lincoln. The Center offers conference and meeting space for both in-person and virtual meetings to support community development. The Center facilitates collaboration between faculty and K-12 schools, organizations and communit

y members for the purpose of co-creating solutions for community identified needs. One example is a project by a faculty member which provides self paced educational modules about architectural design to high school students in three rural different school districts in the region. The potential impact is to inspire students to seek higher education, to introduce them to an unfamiliar career path and to ground the faculty member's work in real world application. Currently the Center houses Karen Ramey-Torres director, Peggy Stoltenberg Partnership and Program Development Manager, Dennis Kaan Northeast Region Extension Director and Dr. Brent Young Agriculture and Business Management Specialist.
