Transgender Justice Campaign at UWSP

Transgender Justice Campaign at UWSP This is the page for the University of Wisconsin - Steven Point's Diversity and College Access sponsored Transgender Visibility Campaign.

The Trans Justice Campaign at UWSP is an organization whose purpose is to give existing students of the trans community the resources they need to feel safe and secure on this campus and in their next stages of life and provide accurate information to incoming students on the successes and issues the trans community faces on this campus. The Campaign accomplishes this by creating programs and spac

es for trans and other LGBTQ+ while also launching programs to educate cis people on trans issues in order for them to be better advocates. We began our work in the fall semester of 2015 as the Transgender Visibility Campaign and have been growing since then to affect change on the UWSP campus and in the surrounding communities. We host events each semester, a poster campaign to increase visibility on our campus, and other programming initiatives to educate others and create a safer, more inclusive climate for trans students.
