Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an evolving technology that offers both significant opportunities and complex challenges. 🤖

To help navigate this changing landscape, the UWSP Tutoring-Learning Center (TLC) has developed their “AI Fluency & Ethics” course! This course introduces students to foundational AI concepts, including prompt design, common AI types, and practical use cases. In addition, students will examine the ethical implications of AI in everyday life, within the college environment, and in their future professional field. 🤔

Meet April’s Tutor of the Month from our friends in the ! 🎉

Tutor of the Month: Kylie Hoeffs

• Hometown: Bonduel, WI
• Tutoring Areas: Psychology, Spanish, Peer Academic Coaching
• Hobbies: Thrifting, crafts, and burning CDs
• Favorite place to study on campus: the room with the booths in the CCC

• Favorite thing about tutoring:
I love meeting and connecting with students! I also love helping them feel more passionate and comfortable with the coursework

• Advice to Students:
Don’t feel too overwhelmed or embarrassed to reach out for help and tips with studying! We help each other a lot in sessions :)

• Advice to New Peer Coaches:
Make sure to provide an open, friendly environment for the learner to feel comfortable! It helps the learner feel less intimidated and they are willing to participate when they are in a supportive and collaborative space.

• Favorite Tutoring Strategy:
I love having the learner explain the material to me so we can see where we need to target and then break down the information together!

🥳 The soft opening of the Library & Student Resource Center (SRC) is, Monday, April 13, 2026 starting at 7:45 am! We invite you to begin exploring and using the new space - study areas, with follow-me printing, will be available, along with services from the Library and the Center for Inclusive Teaching & Learning.

As we continue final preparations and move other units into the building, please note that some meeting rooms and general-use computers are not yet available. 24/7 access will begin in the Fall semester. 🙌

This week the departments listed below will be moving into the new Library and Student Resource Center (SRC) and will have adjusted access. Please take note of these changes to know how you can access these units during the move:

• University Library — SRC Multi-Floor 📚
The library will be closed April 8-12 as we move into the new Library & Student Resource Center (SRC). E-Resources and 24/7 Online Chat will remain available. Library services and collections will reopen in the SRC on Monday, April 13.

The Archives’ reading room will be closed during the move, but staff will monitor email for remote reference questions.
