The Department of History and International Studies at UW-Stevens Point equips you to succeed in a world where people and nations are interdependent and societies are diverse. We can equip you to succeed in a world where people and nations are interdependent, societies are diverse, and life is shaped by science and technology. By exploring institutions, ideas and values of human societies, you wil

l learn essential skills in research, writing and analysis. We aim to prepare students for advanced degrees or careers in a variety of professions, including history, law, government, business, journalism and education. We offer majors and minors in history and international studies, broad-field social sciences, a minor in peace studies, as well as specializations in race and ethnicity.
