Recent graduate Lyric LaRock took advantage of many hands-on learning experiences to further her career in sports media. From interning with WJFW NewsWatch 12 to the Wausau Woodchucks to the UW-Stevens Point Athletic Department, LaRock has been able to expand her portfolio immensely. 🌟We are excited to announce the 2026 Melvin R. Laird Exceptional Artist Award winner, Katelyn Steidl! 🌟

Katelyn will be graduating this Saturday with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design. She plans to use the $5,000 award to support the development of a cohesive design and photography portfolio centered on outdoor-inspired brand identity through the purchase of equipment, software and professional development to ensure both immediate impact and long-term career growth.
