🎉 Announcing Our 2026 Pre-Professional Outstanding Senior & Inaugural Student of the Year: Brooks Beck! 🎉
From Texarkana, TX, to Stilly, Brooks has made the most of every opportunity during his time at OSU—and now, as he prepares to graduate this spring, we’re proud to recognize him as our Pre-Professional Outstanding Senior and inaugural Student of the Year.
A Biology major with a focus in Ethical Leadership, Brooks has consistently demonstrated what it means to lead with purpose. Whether serving on the executive team of the Pre-Dental Club, representing the Hargis Leadership Institute as an ambassador, contributing to the College of Arts & Sciences Student Council, or being an active member of FarmHouse Fraternity Oklahoma State , Brooks has left a lasting impact across campus.
But what truly sets him apart is his heart for service. From medical mission trips in Guatemala and Chiapas, Mexico, to countless hours assisting at the Catholic Charities Dental Clinic in Tulsa, he has already begun living out his calling—serving others through care and compassion. His experiences studying abroad in Peru and South Africa only deepened that commitment, shaping his passion for ethical leadership on a global scale.
His dedication to excellence is evident in the classroom as well, earning President’s Honor Roll recognition for six consecutive semesters, along with prestigious awards like the Delta Dental Pre-Dentistry Scholarship and the Dr. and Mrs. C. Edwin Polk Scholarship.
Earlier this month, he was honored by the OSU Pre-Dental Club with custom scrubs and his Pre-Professional Cord—a moment that reflected years of hard work and dedication. Last week, Provost Dr. Jenette Mendez presented him with his official certificate and specialty cord, marking this incredible milestone.
This summer, he will take the next step in his journey at Lyon College School of Dental Medicine in Little Rock, Arkansas. His goal is clear: to use his education to provide dental care to underserved communities and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
