Department of English - Oklahoma State University Since its inception in the 1960s, the English Department at Oklahoma State University has attracted and served students with a diversity of interests.

The English Department at OSU offers BA, MA, MFA, and PhD degrees, with a full range of courses in six areas: Creative Writing, Literature, Rhetoric & Professional Writing, Screen Studies, Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL), and Linguistics. It offers a variety of courses, most of them small lectures and discussion classes. The curriculum supports intensive study in specific areas but al

lows students to combine them according to their own professional goals. BA, MA, MFA and PhD degrees are awarded through the department, and a full range of courses is offered in six areas:

-Creative Writing
-Literature
-Rhetoric & Professional Writing
-Screen Studies
-Teaching English as a Second Language
-Linguistics

The English Department also works with OSU to provide additional services: the Writing Center, the International Teaching Assistant Program, the OSU Writing Project, and exciterbulb.

The Full Moon Poetry Club invites you to join in celebrating the Flower Moon (and the end of Pre-Finals week) with an evening of poems! We are holding an open mic night this Friday, May 1, at 7pm at Velvet Fudge. The address is 916 S. Lewis St., and you'll have to make a brief walk down the alley to get to the door, but it's worth it. Feel free to bring family, friends, or even enemies, but only if you'd like to challenge them to a poetry battle.
