The OSU Seniors of Significance Award recognizes students who truly exemplify and embody the Cowboy Code, which honors the university’s land-grant mission and commends academic achievements, character and personal impact. The CEAT Career Fair is tomorrow in the Gallagher-Iba Arena from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm!

With that in mind, what are some ways for you to gain the most from companies to further your career?

1. Research companies: Know which ones are attending, what they do, and the roles they’re offering. Prepare a short list of your top targets.
2. Dress professionally: Business casual at minimum; suit if possible. First impressions matter.
3. Start with warm-ups: Visit a couple of companies that aren’t your top choices first to get comfortable.
4. Follow up quickly: Send a thank-you email within 24–48 hours. Reference something specific from your chat.

This is a great opportunity to expand your network, get comfortable talking with recruiters, and get job offers to start your career!

🟠IEM Student Spotlight: Ainsley Kyle⚫

From Stillwater to the Air Force Research Laboratory, Ainsley Kyle is proving the impact of Industrial Engineering & Management. After earning her bachelor’s in 2023 and master’s in 2024, she’s already on track to complete her Ph.D. by 2026.

Her research focuses on human factors and cognitive workload—studying how people make decisions under pressure and how systems can adapt to support them. Working closely with her mentor Dr. Katie Jurewiez (“Dr. J”) and collaborating with Brock Rouser from Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Ainsley has bridged IEM and aerospace to tackle challenges in aviation and defense.

Ainsley credits mentorship and teamwork for her success:
“Dr. J has been like my academic mother and the best mentor I could ask for.”
“Brock and I complement each other’s strengths, which has made our collaboration a true learning experience.”

With strong mentorship, interdisciplinary research, and a drive to innovate, Ainsley is showing how far IEM students can go.
