Happy Throwback Thursday Pokes🤠!
Karalyn spent the Spring Break ‘26 in Italy!

Here is what .rich had to say about her abroad experience!

“My time in Italy was truly life-changing. Since I traveled alone for the first couple days, it showed me how to not only be independent, but learn how to communicate with people who spoke a different language. I learned more about their customs, their culture, as well as some of the history. I got to visit Milan, Lugano Switzerland, lake como, and Venice.

What made this trip unforgettable was the once in a lifetime opportunity to visit so many places in just a week. Being able to experience the beautiful views, make lifelong friendships, and stories to tell for the rest of my life.”

Here is what .hilcher had to say about her abroad experience!

“Studying abroad was one of the most influential periods of my life! I had the privilege of studying abroad in Valencia, Spain at Univeristat Politecnica de Valencia (UPV). Although i was only there for a semester, the experiences I had will last me a lifetime. Between attending international business courses taught at an international university, creating friendships across the world that will last me a lifetime, and getting to travel all across europe, my experience at UPV has had a lasting impact on me. I now consider valencia to be my home away from home, and have plans to move there after graduation to liaise between spanish and english speaking companies.

It might sound cliche, but studying abroad truly changed my life in so many ways. Icannot recommend it enough. GO ABROAD!!!! “

Garner spent Fall ‘25 in Bergen, Norway studying at the University of Bergen

Here is what had to say about his abroad experience!

“Studying abroad was a time a will never forget. From the culture to the weather to the oh so beautiful landscapes, Norway was such a wonderful experience. Being away it was easy to get down about not seeing my loved ones, but it was very difficult to stay sad when the life around you was consistently so amazing. Being so far away from home taught me a lot, and I’m so glad to have done it in such a perfect place.”

Here is what had to say about his abroad experience:

“Studying abroad was one of the best decisions I made during my time at OSU. It gave me the opportunity to meet incredible people, experience new cultures, and travel throughout Europe and even Africa. I traveled to 5 countries and over 7 different cities in Italy. I studied in Florence, and it was an amazing place to live. The city is very walkable and full of beautiful views, friendly people, fun activities, and some of the best food I have ever had. The nightlife in Florence is great, and there are even bars where you can watch American sporting events like football. Florence is an amazing home base for anyone considering studying abroad because it is historic, unique, and centrally located in Italy.

If you are thinking about studying abroad, I highly recommend it, especially in Florence. My biggest advice is to start the visa process as early as possible since it can take a long time. Also, travel as much as you can and be open to trying new and unique foods. Studying abroad is an experience you will never forget.”

Happy Throwback Thursday Pokes!

Alex spent the 2025 calendar year abroad in Bangkok studying at .university

Here is what had to say about his abroad experience:

“I have agonized greatly at the thought of summarizing a year in Bangkok into something that will convey even the slightest amount of the experience and wisdom I’ve gathered during my time there. People from all over the world and all different walks of life gather in this city. Spending time in Bangkok is not just experiencing or learning about Thai culture but is a crash course in so many cultures across the world. During my time abroad I was able to make so many connections, relationships, and memories from people all over the world. My year abroad opened my perspective in an international way that I was not aware was possible before.

Oklahoma State has afforded me the best possible opportunity to study abroad. My only advice for anyone considering studying abroad is to double the time you think you want to spend. I promise it is worth it.”
