Welcome Dr. Bryan Edwards, Interim Dean of Spears Business! 👏

Dr. Bryan Edwards was named interim dean of the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University in August 2026.

Edwards, who has been part of the Spears Business community since 2009, most recently served as head of the Department of Management and holds the Joe Synar Chair. Known for his approachable, hands-off leadership style, Edwards has spent his career at Spears Business teaching, mentoring and supporting the faculty, staff and students who make the college what it is.

🌟 SPEARS HALL OF FAME SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Greg Everett’s advice for aspiring business leaders is different from what he told himself early in his professional life.

The two-time Oklahoma State University graduate said he was formerly preoccupied with his own career progression and the technical skills he needed to become a CEO.

Those aspects mattered, but he achieved his goal only when he combined his education and experience with a new perspective.

“The secret is focusing not on yourself, but focusing on others and helping other people realize their dreams, what they want to accomplish and what their goals are,” Everett said.
