Fellow Mechistas! just wanted to remind you all about our events during Chicanx Week!
On Monday, the Latin American Studies Program here at Pacific will be hosting Sylvia Aguilar Zeleny, who will be speaking about the increased killing of women in Ciudad Juarez. She will be in WPC 140 at 6:00 pm to give her presentation.
On Tuesday, M.E.Ch.A will be hosting a Chicanx Chat on the topics of DACA, TPS, and other important Immigration issues! We will have experts in Immigration Law talk about these issues and answer any questions the public or students may have. This event will be held in the WPC 140 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This is event is free and open to the public so stop by to gain some valuable information.
On Wednesday M.E.Ch.A will be hosting a Noche de Arte! Join us for a night that celebrates Latinx and Chianx culture through various forms of art. We are still accepting submissions of art, spoken word, and all other forms of art! The deadline to submit is Sunday March 25, 2018 at 5:00 pm. On Thursday, we will be hosting our annual Flan and Games! This night will be filled with great food and fun games. Stop by to de-stress from the week! This event will be held in DUC from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
On Friday, we will be ending our week with our annual Show and Shine! Please join us for some music, food, and fun! The Show and Shine will be on March 30, 2018 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
