VOCATIONAL NURSING APPLICATIONS:

We will be accepting applications for the January 2026 VN class from August 4-25 from 10am-3pm Monday through Friday only. You do not need an appointment to apply. Please sign-in when you arrive, and we will call your name when it is your turn.

Please follow the directions below very carefully:
Our application form is on our website for you to download and print. You will find the link to the application form in the middle of the Admissions page. You must fill this out prior to arriving to the school. Please only complete the sections that apply to you, as this application form is for all our programs and not all sections apply to all programs.

You will need to have the $100 application fee in the form of cash or money order only. (Please have exact change if bringing cash) We DO NOT accept checks or cards for the application fee. In addition, you will also need to bring in a copy of your U.S. high school diploma (or GED certificate) as well as the original diploma. We will keep the copy but need to see the original diploma for authentication. If you do not have your original diploma, you will need to bring in an official (unopened) transcript from your high school. Foreign transcripts or diplomas will not be accepted without an official foreign evaluation from an evaluation agency. Please also provide a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID with your application.

The required TEAS exam will be in September. The test dates will be scheduled immediately after the application period has ended. You must take the TEAS exam here at our campus. We do not accept TEAS scores from other institutions. The fee for the TEAS test is $70 (but subject to increases), which is not included in your application fee. Instructions on how to schedule and pay for your exam will be provided immediately after the application period ends.

The application period is for application drop off only. Any inquiries or further questions you have can be made by emailing [email protected]. You may also visit our website at www.xavier-college.com for information about all the programs we offer.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please know that you do NOT need to come in on the first day to apply to have a chance to get into the class. It absolutely does not matter what day you come in to apply, as long as you come during the application period. Whether you apply on the first day (Aug 4) or the last day (Aug 25), you will all still have the same chance to get in. We want to avoid long lines or crowds so please don't feel like you need to all be here on the first day. The most important aspect is passing the TEAS entrance exam with a minimum of 60% overall score. Testing will be in September, so we strongly recommend that you start studying for that exam now. DISCLAIMER: The COVID-19 vaccine is still required for all nursing students who attend clinical rotations in our area. No exemptions will be made at all for student nurses. If it has been 12+ months since your last dose, a booster may also be required.

XAVIER COLLEGE IS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE RN PRE-LICENSURE PROGRAM THAT BEGINS IN FEBRUARY 2026

Beginning on June 4, 2025 until June 25, 2025, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm (Monday-Friday), we will accept applications for admission to our RN prelicensure associate degree program. No appointment is necessary.

Applicants who are not LVNs may apply to enroll in all four semesters.

LVNs may only apply for advanced placement to take the last two semesters.

Please go to our website as it provides answers to questions asked by many applicants. Remember to complete the application form that can be downloaded from the website and submitted with a $100 application fee. https://xavier-college.com/admissions/
We will accept only applications complete with all documents required as listed on the website. We will not accept incomplete application packages. Bring original drivers’ license or passport and copies. Copies will be retained by the school.

Admission testing will begin as early as July 3, 2025 for those who have submitted a complete application package. We will communicate details of admission testing by email after the application period ends. You must take the exam here at our campus. We do not accept test scores taken at any other testing location.
You will be taking the ATI TEAS exam, and you must score 65% or higher in EACH of the 4 categories. (we DO NOT go by overall score) You will pay the testing vendor directly before your exam. Currently the fee is $70 but is subject to change.

Please be aware that financial aid is limited to federal student aid, which does not cover the full tuition.

All communication after passing the test will be by electronic messages from or to the school.

REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-LVN APPLICANTS:
1. ___ Completed application form and fee of $100 in cash or money order.
2. ___ Proof of Identity (Drivers License Or Passport) and copy to be retained in the applicant’s file.
3. ___ Proof of High School Education (Sealed Official Transcript) For international transcripts, submit official report of academic review for U.S. equivalency.
4. There are no prerequisites required. Please only complete the sections of the application form that apply to you.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE LVNs:
1. ___ Completed application form and fee of $100 in cash or money order.
2. ___ Proof of Identity (Drivers License Or Passport) and copy to be retained in the applicant’s file.
3. ___ Proof of High School Education (Sealed Official Transcript) For international transcripts, submit official report of academic review for U.S. equivalency.
4. ___ Official Vocational Nursing Transcript – sealed
5. ___ Active and current LVN license
6. ___ Official, sealed transcripts for all required prerequisites, completed with minimum grade of “C”. Course descriptions must be submitted.
a. Anatomy & Physiology: Total 9 units (may accept credits for Chemistry or Biology, if total for A&P is less than 9).
b. Microbiology: 4 units
c. English Reading & Comprehension: 3 units
d. English Communication (or Speech): 3 units
e. Algebra (Intermediate or College): 3 units
f. Psychology: 3 units
7. ___ Proof of 6 months employment as an LVN.
8. ___ References: Two professional and one personal with wet signatures, not electronic or digital signatures.

Please note that we cannot accept credits from non-accredited institutions.
