Happy Senior Spotlight Marissa !!
Marissa has always shown me what it means to be a big sister, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She made AEPhi feel like home and gave me the kind of friendship and support I was looking for. I’ll miss our Chuck margarita nights and drives home from chapter, but more than anything, I’ll miss the comfort of having her around. I have always wanted a bigger sister and I am so happy I found one. As hard as it is to see her graduate, I know she’s going to do incredible things, and I couldn’t be prouder. I love you so much, Marissa - don’t forget to visit me and the kids. -Emma Sherman
Marisssaaaa! My girl! Happy senior spotlight. Senior year… yikes. It feels like just yesterday we were baby freshmen relying on each other to help the transition to college. Of course we only grew as friends as we lived on the same floor in the Ville. I was so glad you were only a door away to listen to my endless rants, jokes, and general yapping. Whether we’re screen sharing our TikTok’s or sharing stories over a plate of Chuck’s nachos, a day with you is never bland. Thank god I had you, my glimmer of Massachusetts sparkle, to keep me grounded over these four years. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to experience the other adventures we may find ourselves on. -Izzy
I honestly don’t even know where to begin, because the thought of you graduating doesn’t feel real. From our first sister date, I knew you were going to be a huge part of my college experience—and you were. You were my first real friend at UConn, and from the very beginning, you made me feel like I belonged. As much as I don’t want to face the next chapter without you here, I know you’re so ready for what’s next. And while I’ll miss everything about having you just a quick text or call away, I’ll always have the memories we made.
Marissa… thank you for everything. For being my rock, someone I look up to, and my person. I’m so proud of you. I love you endlessly, and I hope you know that no matter how far you go, you’ve left a piece of your heart with me. One day, when I’m old and telling my kids stories about college, you’ll be a name they know—and hopefully a face they get to meet, too. I have no doubt that you’re going to carry yourself far in life, with the same passion, warmth, and strength you’ve always shown me. Whatever you choose to do, wherever life takes you, I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. Congratulations—you’ve earned every second of this moment. -Steph Marino
