Happy Senior Spotlight Zoe!!

The best big! I will forever be thankful to AEPhi for bringing me to you. In the short time we have had the joy of knowing each other, I truly cannot imagine my life without you. You are the kindest, most beautiful soul, and I could not have asked for a better big. I feel found family in you and the way you have welcomed me into the chapter and your life. You’re my rock, and I know I can count on you for anything. You amaze me every day in everything you do, and I am positive you will be so successful wherever you end up. You will always be a huge role model for me, and I will miss our weekly hangouts so much next year. Thank you for choosing me to be a part of your family in your last year at UConn. I cannot wait to see this next chapter of your life. Not saying goodbye, but see you soon

Happy Senior Spotlight Paula!

Paula!! I am so lucky to have met someone like you during my time at UConn. You are the kind of person who can always make me laugh or put a smile on my face. I know I can always count on you as someone I can talk to about literally anything. I love getting to hear your drama and telling you mine. I love sitting on the volleyball sidelines and debriefing. I love running into you on the weekends and us both getting so excited to see each other. You are so fun to be around and I never fail to have a good time when I’m with you. I am forever grateful to call you my friend and I am going to miss living just down the street from you. I am so excited to see what you will accomplish in the future. I know you are going to do great things. I love you!! -Natalie Reilly

Im so grateful that Paula is my big. When we went on our first sister date I had no idea she already had a little. All I knew is we got along so well and I had to have her as my big. Every time we see each other we have so much to share and I look forward to our dinners and hangouts every time. I can’t imagine aephi without Paula. I hope that I am half the big to my little Shelby as Paula is to me. I’ll miss seeing her around campus and in my rec classes! I know she’s going to do amazing things!! -Sabrina

Happy Senior Spotlight Izzy!

I am so beyond proud of you! It blows my mind every day that we aren’t those little 19 year old girls running around the ville anymore. Just weeks before moving in I was debating going inactive because I was so stressed about making friends and balancing school, but the second we met it wasn’t even a question anymore. Before meeting you, I thought I knew what it meant to have a bestfriend, but you’ve completely redefined that word for me. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is or what crisis one of us happens to be going through, you are always there. The way you full force threw yourself at me by climbing into my bed & cuddling with me until we became best friends was the perfect beginning to our friendship and I hope there is never an end. I can’t wait to visit you in Africa and watch you thrive, having you through every phase of life is going to be so much fun. I’ve loved growing up with you. There is no me without you. I love you so much Izzy, and I don’t know what I would ever do without you. Congratulations!🩷

Happy Senior Spotlight Natalie Reilly !!

Natalie,
from being in the same homeroom in high school after I had just moved to Fairfield to ending up in the same sorority after I transferred to Uconn, it’s been so full circle. Thank you for making both of these transitions easier for me, you made more of a difference than you even know. Your kindness, positivity, and intelligence are radiant and I know you will take these qualities with you wherever you go. I’m going to miss having you here in Storrs, but I am so excited to see all you do at National Grid and in the future. I know you will thrive and I will be rooting for you. I love you!!! -Katie

Natalie!!! I can’t believe you’re already graduating. It feels like just yesterday when I joined aephi and became your little. I am so thankful I found a big as down to earth and funny as you are. My experience in aephi wouldn’t be the same without you. You’ve taught me so much from how to be a good friend to balance school and a social life. I am so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and I know this is just the beginning. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to answer all my stupid questions and put up with my one million texts. I know you’re going to do everything you’ve dreamed of and I cannot wait to watch you succeed! I will always be your supporter and will be cheering you on from Storrs. Come back to visit, I’ll buy you a beaver!!!! -Hannah

You’re the kind of friend who shows up—literally. Not only did you come all the way to New York to visit me for my birthday, you also made sure to come to UConn to say bye to me after being abroad for 3 months. It’s little things like that that remind me how lucky I am to have you in my life. You’re not just my best friend—you’re my sister, my teammate, and my favorite chaos partner. I truly can’t imagine doing life without you. Thank you for being you😘 -Paula

Happy Senior Spotlight Marissa !!

Marissa has always shown me what it means to be a big sister, and I feel so lucky to have found her. She made AEPhi feel like home and gave me the kind of friendship and support I was looking for. I’ll miss our Chuck margarita nights and drives home from chapter, but more than anything, I’ll miss the comfort of having her around. I have always wanted a bigger sister and I am so happy I found one. As hard as it is to see her graduate, I know she’s going to do incredible things, and I couldn’t be prouder. I love you so much, Marissa - don’t forget to visit me and the kids. -Emma Sherman

Marisssaaaa! My girl! Happy senior spotlight. Senior year… yikes. It feels like just yesterday we were baby freshmen relying on each other to help the transition to college. Of course we only grew as friends as we lived on the same floor in the Ville. I was so glad you were only a door away to listen to my endless rants, jokes, and general yapping. Whether we’re screen sharing our TikTok’s or sharing stories over a plate of Chuck’s nachos, a day with you is never bland. Thank god I had you, my glimmer of Massachusetts sparkle, to keep me grounded over these four years. I love you endlessly and can’t wait to experience the other adventures we may find ourselves on. -Izzy

I honestly don’t even know where to begin, because the thought of you graduating doesn’t feel real. From our first sister date, I knew you were going to be a huge part of my college experience—and you were. You were my first real friend at UConn, and from the very beginning, you made me feel like I belonged. As much as I don’t want to face the next chapter without you here, I know you’re so ready for what’s next. And while I’ll miss everything about having you just a quick text or call away, I’ll always have the memories we made.

Marissa… thank you for everything. For being my rock, someone I look up to, and my person. I’m so proud of you. I love you endlessly, and I hope you know that no matter how far you go, you’ve left a piece of your heart with me. One day, when I’m old and telling my kids stories about college, you’ll be a name they know—and hopefully a face they get to meet, too. I have no doubt that you’re going to carry yourself far in life, with the same passion, warmth, and strength you’ve always shown me. Whatever you choose to do, wherever life takes you, I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. Congratulations—you’ve earned every second of this moment. -Steph Marino

Emmy, I truly don’t have the words to capture how much you mean to me. From the moment we met, your kindness, laughter, and support have made such a difference in my life. I’m so happy we got to study abroad together. That formed a bond between us that will last forever and I’m so lucky to have gone through that with you. And even past that experience, you’ve continued to be someone I always want to be around. Your presence is a breath of fresh air every time I see you. As we graduate, I’m so proud of everything you’ve accomplished, but I’m going to miss you more than I can say. I love you endlessly and I know this is just the beginning of all the amazing things ahead for you. -Soph

Emmy,
Congratulations!! The last few years you have become one of my best friends and you truly are one of my favorite people in the world. Emma,
I am going to miss you so so much! I can’t believe we are actually graduating. I am so thankful to have met you on the first day of classes freshman year, because genuinely I don’t think I would have made it through school these past 4 years without you. The late night studying and having to figure out ridiculous homework assignments would have been 10 times worse without you by my side haha. You are an amazing friend to everyone around you, and I am so proud of everything you have accomplished. You are going to be the best physical therapist out there and I can’t wait to cheer you on the whole way! Thank you for always being there for me and listening to anything I have to say without any judgement. You truly are the best! Love you so so much ❤️ -Emmy

My dear Ayla girl. I am in tears writing this. When I was asked to write your spotlight, I was overjoyed and filled with so much emotion. You are truly one of the brightest lights in my life and you inspire me more than you know. When we first joined AEPhi together, you were the first friend I had and I had no idea the impact you would have on me. I have always admired and thought of you as such a bubbly, loving human being. Every time we interact, I am just overwhelmed with so much happiness because that is just the light you bring to people. No matter what, you were always there for me when I needed someone so genuine. Happy Senior Spotlight Jovi !!

Jovi!!! The most perfect big in the whole world!!! Words do not describe how blessed I am to have you in my life. You have completely turned my life around and I am so grateful for you. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things you accomplish after graduation. Thank you for being the best big and best friend someone could ask for. I’m so sad to see you go, but I will always be in your corner rooting for you. I love you the absolute most!!!! -joanna Goldberg

Jovi- Where do I even begin? From the days you used to crash on my floor in the Ville sophomore year, to experiencing the Celtics parade together, and all the tiny, in-between moments that made college feel like home—every memory with you has been special.
You’ve been more than just a best friend—you’ve been my constant, my reality check, my therapist, and my family away from home. Whether we were laughing at 2 a.m. over nothing or just silently existing in the same space, every moment with you has meant the world.
There is truly no one else I would want to make a marriage pact with at sophomore semi. So, after college, I plan to wait patiently until 30 when that can become real.
As we head into the next chapter, I’m not worried about saying goodbye—because I know this friendship is for life. I can’t wait to keep making memories, wherever we end up.
Love you alway jovs❤️❤️ -Meg Preston
