We love this reminder from one of our previous EFDA students. Learning takes patience, practice, and the courage to keep trying, even when a skill doesn't come easily at first.

When I told my dental assisting students my birthday was the next class, their first response was, “Can we cancel class?” 😂 I said unfortunately no but I would bring cupcakes to celebrate. They showed up with flowers and the sweetest handmade “Happy Birthday Tooth You” card instead! 💐🦷 Thank you for making my birthday so special!

A big thank you to Dr. Alex Frisbie for taking the time to speak with some of our Dental Assisting students last week!

Dr. Frisbie shared some of his restorative cases and gave our students valuable insight into what he looks for in a dental assistant. Experiences like these give our students the opportunity to learn directly from professionals in the field and gain a better understanding of what to expect in their future careers.

What you snack on matters just as much as how often you brush!

Choosing tooth-friendly snacks can help strengthen enamel, reduce the risk of cavities, and keep your smile healthy. Some great options include:

-Cheese and yogurt for calcium
-Crunchy vegetables like carrots and celery to help clean teeth
-Apples for a naturally refreshing snack
-Nuts for healthy fats and minerals
-Hard-boiled eggs for protein and phosphorus

Try to limit sugary, sticky snacks and sip water throughout the day to help wash away food particles and bacteria.
