โœจ Student Spotlight: Tredena Lewis โœจ

With a heart for helping others, Ms. Tredena has always known she wanted a career in healthcare. After stepping away from school following the loss of her father, she returned this semester with a renewed drive to reach her goals.

She credits Mrs. Leanne, our Phlebotomy instructor, for creating an inclusive, engaging classroom and says her classmates quickly became her โ€œ10 new besties.โ€

Her โ€œwhyโ€ says it all: โ€œTo be a ray of sunshine for my patients when itโ€™s kind of gloomyโ€”thatโ€™s what I want to do. I want to bring positive energy into the room with me because they may already be having a rough day.โ€

She has now successfully completed the didactic portion of her training and is preparing to sit for her ASCP Phlebotomy Certification exam! With plans to pursue radiology in the future, sheโ€™s one step closer to making a meaningful impact in the medical field. ๐Ÿ’™

In honor of EMS Week, meet the incredible instructors behind our EMT programs! ๐Ÿš‘โœจ

From the classroom to the front lines of emergency care, these three women bring passion, experience, and dedication to every student they teach.

Brandy has served as an Emergency Department Technician and NREMT Paramedic and currently leads our EMT Basic program with hands-on knowledge and real-world experience. Danielle, also a NREMT Paramedic, shares her expertise with our Advanced EMT students, preparing them for the fast-paced world of emergency medicine. Leanne, a NREMT Paramedic who taught EMT Basic last semester, recently graduated from nursing school with Academic Excellence โ€” an accomplishment we're incredibly proud to celebrate!

We're thankful for the knowledge, leadership, and life lessons these instructors pour into our students each day. Their commitment to shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals does not go unnoticed. ๐Ÿ’™
