Today we had the opportunity to educate this wonderful group of high school students from FIU's Upward Bound program.

This program is designed for students, as early as 8th grade, who desire to attend college by arrangeing on-going academic preparation, college prep advising, and life-skill activities.

The CARE Center was able to provide knowledge to these students about the importance and responsibilities between Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, & Speech Therapy while giving a tour of the many laboratories utilized by these departments.

CARE Center had the honor to receive HCA Hospital members visiting NWCNHS during the ceremony to celebrate the agreements of educational collaboration between HCA and FIU, as well as highlight and celebrate the 1.5 million dollar donation this year to NWCNHS by HCA. Both institutions are making efforts to expand the Nursing and Health Sciences number of professional graduating in the future to serve the increasing needs of Miami and South Florida population for these services.
