The Syosset Volunteer & Exempt Firefighters Benevolent Association will host their Quarterly General Meeting and Holiday Meal on Monday, December 15th, at HQ Station 1. Dinner will be at 7:00 pm with the meeting to follow.
Note the change in meeting time.

Come down and join us for a nice meal, a short meeting, and good conversation.

All members new to the Syosset Fire Department are welcome as well.

The Board of Directors of the Syosset Volunteer & Exempt Firefighters Benevolent Association regret to announce the passing of firefighter Patrick Collins, exempt member of Emergency Company #4.

He will be reposing at Devine Funeral Home, 293 South Street, Oyster Bay, NY, 11771, on Thursday, October 17, 2024, from 2:00 pm - 4 pm, and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Funeral mass to be held Friday, October 18, 2024, at 10:30 am, at St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Chapel, Anstice Street, Oyster Bay, NY, 11771.

Internment will be at St. John’s Memorial Cemetery, 1704 Route 25 a, Syosset, NY, 11791.

The Board of Directors of the Syosset Volunteer & Exempt Firefighters Benevolent Association regret to announce the Line of Duty Death of Firefighter Court Cousins from 9/11 illness related to his response to the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center.

He will be reposing at Syosset Fire Headquarters, 50 Cold Spring Road, Syosset, on Friday, August 2nd, from 2:00 pm - 5 pm, and 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm. Department Services will be at 8:00 pm.

Funeral mass to be held Saturday, August 3, Noon, at St. Edward the Confessor Church, 205 Jackson Avenue, Syosset.

The Board of Directors regret to announce the untimely passing of firefighter Christopher V***a, member of Syosset Engine Company #5.

He will be proposing at Thomas F Dalton funeral home, 75 Jerusalem Ave., Hicksville, NY.

Visitation will be Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 4 PM to 8 PM, and Wednesday, February 14, 2024 from 4 PM to 8 PM.

Department services will be Tuesday, February 13 at 7 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, February 15, at 11:15 AM at the Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, 500 S. Oyster Bay Rd., Hicksville, NY.

Internment to follow at 1:15 pm at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY.
